Construction Manager

Job Summary

Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction while leading and developing the construction team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and milestones, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Lead and mentor the construction team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure construction work meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely availability of materials and resources needed for construction projects.
  • Track project performance, generate regular reports, and present updates to senior management.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks given by the Superior/ the Management.

Job Requirements

  1. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
  2. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION/OTHER RELEVANT CERTIFICATION
    • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar certification preferred.
    • Membership with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
    • Certified or knowledge in CONQUAS, QLASSIC and GBI is a plus.
  3. WORKING EXPERIENCES
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  4. KEY/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Financial acumen and budget management expertise.
