M&E Manager

Job Summary

Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager to oversee the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within the construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, tendering, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across construction projects.
  • Lead M&E teams, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Coordinate effectively with other project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate M&E systems harmoniously with overall project requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and technical departments for final inspections and necessary approvals. Ensure all installations meet compliance standards.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance protocols to achieve high standards of workmanship and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Superior and/or the Management.

Job Requirements

  1. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
  2. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION/OTHER RELEVANT CERTIFICATION
    • Not Applicable.
  3. WORKING EXPERIENCES
    • Minimum 10 years' experience as an M&E Supervisor or similar role in large scale projects, specialized in hospital projects is preferable.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  4. KEY/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with contractors, workers, and clients.
    • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve site issues promptly.
